Happy Thanksgiving 2008 :)
This year it's just Joe, Rocky, & I.
While this could have been an excuse for a lazy day that included a dinner like this:
We figured we didn't want to deprive ourselves of a true Thanksgiving dinner,
just because we're not home doesn't mean we don't miss the food!
So we set a table...
When did we buy a kitchen table, you ask?
Don't let it fool you - it's really the beer pong table in disguise! Nothing a little tablecloth and pretty things couldn't fix :)
Always the perfect cook, Martha Stewart provided us with a FANTASTIC recipe for turkey.
We're quite proud of ourselves on this, as it was probably the best turkey I've ever tasted (sorry daddy!)
And of course we needed fixins' right?! Mashed 'taters? check! Stuffing? check! Corn? check! Green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy... you get the picture. We even made cookies, pumpkin, and apple pie. Way too much food for 2 people? You betcha. Don't forget the always hungry Rocky! No, we actually didn't give him any. But now we have food for a week, and plan on having people over at random times tonight - so we have plenty to feed everyone.
All that's missing is you.
We have lots to be thankful for this year. It's been filled with way more good than bad.
Next year, maybe you should join us, and we can all be thankful together :) Now, doesn't that sound grand?
