This year has been hard for tomatoes. The tomatoes themselves are growing out of control, but as soon as they get big enough, some critter comes and picks 'em off, and eats them! We've tried EVERYTHING! Peanuts, Owls, Critter Ridder, Bloodmeal, Cayenne Pepper, Doghair, Netting... you name it, we've probably done it. Lastly, we've been putting each tomato (loosely) in a plastic baggie as soon as it's big-ish, and plucking them right at first blush to ripen on the windowsill. We've also been leaving the backyard floodlights on at night in hopes that whatever it is will think we could see it. It's been working, whatever it is, and hopefully we won't loose so many tomatoes anymore!
{the cherry tomatoes and the peppers have actually been fine, but they were ripe and pretty!}
