How does your garden grow?

It is officially spring here in Florida - the weather goes from mild to HOT! So we decided to do some plantin'!
First the front yard - remember the purple things from last year (I have no idea what their name is)? They came back with a vengeance this year, so we added a little bit of color! Hopefully it'll all start to grow together soon and we'll have tons of color by the front walk!

And then palm tree... we're hoping third time's a charm, maybe? We got some other "tropical" flowers that we're hoping will start to fill in the space, right now they're just pretty to look at

And then the back yard! This tomato plant is HUGE! We get about a tomato a day from it on average - there's a ton on there growing though

We put in a new little cherry tomato plant, it's overloaded with these little guys!

And a chili pepper! One lonely chili pepper for now, but still!

These are the cucumber and hybrid tomato plants - the cucumbers wrap themselves around those posts so adorably

And then a few weeks ago on this (lime) tree...

We had hundreds of these tiny flowers...

And now we have HUNDREDS (really!) of these itty bitty baby limes growing all over the tree! Apparently we have to trim it back quite a bit once they get bigger so that it doesn't get too heavy, but so many limes! It smells amazing!

And then the difficult ones... the strawberry plants....
Something keeps eating them just as they start to grow! We put this chicken wire over them, but something just keeps getting at them... we're guessing slugs, any ideas on how to keep them away?

A few are making it - but not many :(

Joe has an amazingly green thumb - maybe for the next house we'll look at a farm in Nebraska! Ha!
