In an act of desperation, we DID buy another camera. It was a $20 digital camera from CVS, essentially a glorified webcam. It took TERRIBLE pictures, but it's better than nothing right?
Saturday night we went out to dinner in Mallory Square and it was really really perfect. The food was incredible and it was right on the water with an amazing view of the sunset.
We ran to the edge of the balcony for the sunset - it was so nice!
We saw a bunch of weddings that night - but the one across the restaurant from us probably had the best location of them all - can you imagine?
HILARIOUS side note - there was a very small wedding reception sitting at the tables next to us that happened to be for a gay couple. I've never seen Joe and Drew so uncomfortable in their lives! SO FUNNY!
At this point I was REALLY wishing we had a camera that worked...
The camera didn't have a flash (of course) - so we got no pictures that night except this one. Will gave us a sticker for his boat to put up somewhere. When we got pizza before heading back to the hotel at 2 am, we popped it up right next to a Captain Curts sticker (which just happens to be a restaurant right here on Siesta Key!)
Sunday we figured we needed to do the traditional touristy stuff, or at least visit the southernmost point buoy. We took the free shuttle there, and the line was SO LONG. So I told Joe to sit kind of in front of it and we'd just pretend. We tried to snap it while they were switching groups of people, but weren't so successful! Still fun :)
We had to be back to the shuttle by 5, so we shopped around Duval and then headed back to the hotel for our luggage and the shuttle...
Tired, but it was such a fun weekend.
When we were on the boat, we could see the restaurant we had dinner at the night before.
We didn't get home till about midnight and were so exhausted the next day at work, but can not wait to go back! (with a working camera!!)
